eThekwini municipality spokesperson Themba Nyathikazi said: "There were minimal disruptions and we do not have a backlog."
City of Cape Town's Kylie Hatton said they "had not tabulated any figures yet" but claimed the strike had a "minimal impact".
Municipalities yesterday said that services were back to normal, including refuse removal that had been was seriously affected.
Nelson Mandela Metro spokesperson Kupido Baron said everything was back to normal. He said the city was preparing for the Iron Man Triathlon this weekend.
"Buses are running, refuse is being removed," said Johannesburg city spokesperson Vigil James said.
SA Chamber of Commerce and Industry spokesperson Peggy Drodskie said it was difficult to determine the exact cost of the strike.
