The poor are made to pay more so that the ANC can benefit through its part ownership of Hitachi Power Africa, which has a multi-billion rand contract with Eskom to build new power stations.
Is this the better life for all that the ruling party preaches about? I doubt it. Maybe a better life for those who can afford the electricity hike. It is not for the first time we consumers are being made to pay for the failures of the ruling party.
