SANTOS are eager to complete their Absa Premiership home games this season on a positive note by beating AmaZulu at Athlone Stadium tonight at 7.30pm.

People's Team chief operations officer Edries Burton said they needed the full points to maintain their fourth spot on the log.

"We are determined to win our last game in front our supporters to thank them for rallying behind us," Burton said yesterday.

"It will be really sad if we lose our last match at home. Our fans will easily forget about the matches we won at home, but will remember the last match we lost at home. We are keen not to disappoint them.

"The spirit is high in the camp and the boys are ready to beat AmaZulu."

Santos go into this match buoyed after demolishing Bidvest Wits 3-0 at Milpark Stadium last week.

In-form striker Phikolethu Spelman, who scored a brace against his former side Wits, should pose a serious threat to Usuthu, who travel to the Mother City on the back of a1-0 win over the inconsistent Free State Stars. The home side will miss Bonginkosi Macala and Graham King, who are suspended. Dumisani Ngwenya is a key player for the Durbanites.

Santos wrap up their campaign against Maritzburg United on March 6, while AmaZulu wind up theirs against SuperSport United at home on the same day.
