THE fallout from last year's Safa elections shows no sign of abating.
Safa has summoned protesting regions to a disciplinary committee.
However, Sowetan has been reliably informed that the regions have in return responded by referring the case to their legal advisers.
A source close to the regions said Safa had sent letters to individual executive members, informing them about the hearings, to take place on February 6 and February 7.
This comes days after Albert Mokoena, who had previously been linked to the group of dissidents, distanced himself from the group.
The source said: "We are surprised at this decision by Safa. We had vowed - in the presence of President Jacob Zuma - to suspend any action about this matter. He made it clear that with the World Cup just months from now, we should put our differences aside."
