This according to Danhauser police in KwaZulu-Natal.

A 16-year-old matriculant and his parents were arrested after the boy reportedly eloped with his "new wife" also 16, to Dannhauser.

The girl's mother told police that she was shocked to find a letter informing her that her daughter had left for KwaZulu-Natal since she could not bless the marriage between the boy and the girl.

Constable "RV" Mlaba said the three were in custody and that investigations were continuing.
