FANS will have their final chance to buy World Cup tickets between December 5 and January 22, the Local Organising Committee (LOC) said yesterday.

"Don't wait, go buy the tickets," LOC CE Danny Jordaan advised locals, who can obtain tickets for as little as R140 each.

"This will be the cheapest World Cup ticket ever," Jordaan said. The LOC wants to ensure that all tickets for Bafana Bafana matches are sold out.

Tickets range from R1050 to R140, which will be set aside for SA residents. About 120000 will be given to the workers who built the stadiums and other Fifa charities.

More than 620000 tickets were sold between February and April. Of these, 300000 were sold locally.

Fans can download application forms from www.fifa.com or get them at FNB outlets. - Sapa
