A 28-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested over the rape of two girls in Alexandria, Eastern Cape police said.
Captain Mali Govender said yesterday the man "lured" the girls, aged seven and eight, to a veld on Saturday.
"According to a witness, the man demanded they undress and raped them.
"The witness, who was hiding in a nearby bush, threw stones at the suspect, who fled the scene," Govender said.
The witness went to the home of one of the girls and later reported the matter to the police. - Sapa
