THE IFP in Gauteng has called for more training of the police.

This follows the killing of a Pretoria youth by the police.

Kgotatso Ndobe was shot dead when he allegedly ran away from the police who wanted to question him.

"We urge the law authority to increase police training and visibility," said IFP leader Khethamabala Skhosana yesterday.

A family member, who witnessed Ndobe's shooting, alleged that a senior police official on the scene told her that the policeman who had killed the youth was following the instruction to "shoot to kill". - Sowetan Reporter
