WATER affairs director-general Pam Yako, who was suspended three months ago after allegations of financial irregularities and mismanagement in her department, has yet to face a formal investigation.
Yako, who was placed on "special leave" in July by the minister, Buyelwa Sonjica, remains on full salary while an acting director-general runs her office.
In a statement at the time the minister said no charges had been levelled at Yako "and until informed otherwise by the outcome of the investigation, the director-general remains innocent". - Sapa
