THE SABC Education Baba Indaba comes to Johannesburg this week.

THE SABC Education Baba Indaba comes to Johannesburg this week.

The three-day event, which promises to be an entertaining affair, starts tomorrow and runs until Saturday at the Sandton Convention Centre.

Clare O'Donovan, one of the organisers, says the event offers inspirational ideas, fun for the family, information from expert exhibitors and great bargains.

"The Takalani Sesame muppets will entertain children while sharing numeracy, literacy and life skills knowledge with them," says Natalie Naudé, chief executive of Baba Indaba.

Wendy Oldfield, who recently produced and composed the best-selling children's album Under African Skies and the award-winning Singalong Kids for African Cream Music, will be performing daily - after the ever popular Sesame muppets.

Children and parents can also watch Wendy on the Takalani Sesame stage at 10.30am and 1.30pm on Saturday and Sunday. Doors

The show opens from 9.30am on each day and ends at 7.30pm.

Entry will cost R50.
