THERE appears to be no end in sight for delivery protests in Mpumalanga.

After nearly four months of violent protests in the province another township has embarked on a service delivery march.

This time residents of Sakhile township in Standerton want the ANC to fire all the councillors of the local Lekwa municipality.

They want the municipality to be placed under curatorship because of allegedly "corrupt" officials.

The residents have vowed that protests would go on until the councillors have been kicked out..

Last week residents issued an ultimatum to provincial cooperative governance MEC Norman Mokoena at the local stadium and demanded that he advise all councillors to resign immediately.

Community leader Sibusiso Suntsha warned that all major township roads would be blocked with burning tyres
