IS THIS the end of the road for the taxi business?

The taxi industry that used to be our major public transport faces a bleak future after Rea Vaya was launched in Gauteng last Sunday.

But they have only themselves to blame for their unruly behaviour and the way they treat commuters.

Are they fighting their customers or the government? Without commuters they have nothing. But they do not see that because they continue to disappoint their customers.

If Rea Vaya could offer a better alternative it is over for the taxi industry.

Going on strike will not do them any good and will only create a sense of anger among the commuters.
