Gospel music lovers in Pretoria celebrated Women's Day through worship when Alcy Tivane launched her CD at the State Theatre on Saturday.

The ecstatic audience joined in song as Tivane performed some of South Africa's famous gospel songs and the show was turned into a church service.

Tivane, 38, of Brits in North West, launched her second album titled King of Kings.

Her first album Intando Emnandi was launched over a year ago at the same venue.

With a blend of jazz, classic and contemporary sound, the audience got their money's worth.

But Tivane is not just a great performer on stage, she is also a mother, a preacher, and a professional musician.
