MTN has extended the exclusivity period for talks with Indian mobile service provider Bharti Airtel for another month.
The exclusivity ended on Friday but MTN failed to make an announcement until yesterday.
MTN said: "Shareholders are advised that discussions regarding a potential transaction are continuing.
"The exclusivity period is extended to August 31 2009." - Zweli Mokgata
