TRAIN commuters may arrive on time at work today after the suspension of the Metrorail strikes.

Metrorail spokesperson Sibusiso Ngomane said yesterday that both Satawu and Utatu reached an agreement to suspend the strike.

Yesterday, millions of rail commuters were stranded when the massive strike resulted in a scaled-down train schedule.

The two unions are demanding a two percent wage increase on top of the seven percent which was effective from April 1. - Penwell Dlamini
