Johannesburg police said two men hijacked a Toyota Fortuner on Tuesday in Groblersdal, Limpopo.
"Two suspects hijacked a Toyota Fortuner and dropped the driver in Delmas. The victim reported the incident and the tracking system was activated," Superintendent Lungelo Dlamini said.
The vehicle was picked up inEkuhurleni and followed.
"A shooting occurred between police and the suspects who abandoned the vehicle. One suspect was arrested and the other fled," he said.
The arrested man appeared briefly in the Johannesburg magistrate's court yesterday. - Sapa
