A ROBBER was locked inside a Tembisa supermarket yesterday after the shop owner's quick-thinking brother saw "something unusual", East Rand police said.

Captain Manyadza Ralidzhivha said two men entered the supermarket at 6.30am. The shop owner was inside while his brother was outside.

"When he couldn't see his brother behind the counter, he knew something was not right. He then saw a man with a gun."

The brother locked the store and ran to the police station. Police found a 35-year-old man locked inside.
