MANDRAX worth R6million was seized at a garage in Bishop Lavis in the Cape Flats, police said yesterday.

Captain Bernadine Steyn said the drugs were seized on Saturday after police were tipped off about a "possible drug deal".

The police approached a Toyota bakkie at the garage and the driver fled on foot.

Inside the vehicle, police found about 200 000 Mandrax pills worth about R6million.

A case of drug dealing was opened. No arrests were made.
