TRADE unions representing miners in the gold mining industry said yesterday they had reached a deadlock with gold producers over wage demands and would go on strike if the CCMA fails to reconcile them.
The National Union of Mineworkers and Solidarity said gold producers had raised their wage offer to 7 percent from 6 percent. Miners are demanding a 15 percent rise. - Reuters
