POLICE are looking for relatives to claim the body of a driver found burnt to ashes inside a vehicle behind the Wallmansthal Army Base, north of Pretoria.
Constable Sam Shibambo of the Mamelodi West police said yesterday the body that was found inside a Toyota Corolla on Wednesday was burnt beyond recognition.
The vehicle's registration plates were also burnt.
Police could not tell if the body was that of a woman or a man.
An open gas cylinder was found inside the car, which prompted suspicion that it could be a suicide case. - SAPA
