Some patients at Medforum Private Hospital in Pretoria yesterday missed voting because the IEC officials did not turn up.
The hospital managed to arrange transport to ferry 11 of the 17 to the nearest voting station.
But six were unable to vote because some are in intensive care while others have machines attached to them.
The hospital said it submitted special voting forms to the Arcadia polling station on Monday but the IEC apparently did not process their applications. - Sipho Masombuka
