Many might be following - with a bit of amusement - the spat between the ANCYL president Julius Malema and Nandos over its TV and radio advertisements that parody the firebrand leader.

As the expression goes: "If a man's gonna eat fried chicken, he's gotta get greasy." But Malema won't be getting greasy anytime soon - especially if the fare on offer is Nando's.

The cheeping from the fast food chain, whose TV and radio adverts depict Malema as a buffoon, has surprisingly left him flapping mad.

But, for a change, Malema is not about to have his chicken and eat it this time - all because, as an African proverb goes, when arguing with a chicken a grain of corn is always wrong.
