A 13-year-old Mthatha girl was shot dead by her 18-year-old boyfriend who then committed suicide, Eastern Cape police said.
"The motive was jealousy. The girl was having an affair with another boy," said Superintendent Mzukisi Fatyela yesterday.
"He shot her in the head and chest. After killing the girl, the boy shot himself dead."
The shooting took place at about 9pm on Wednesday at a house in Mthatha, added Fatyela. - Sapa
