Three men were arrested for murder, house robbery and possession of unlicensed firearms in Kagiso yesterday, Gauteng police said.
The men are suspected of killing the owner of a home they allegedly robbed, said Inspector Solomon Sibiya.
Police patrolling Kagiso around 3.20am spotted a vehicle which raised their suspicions. They stopped the vehicle, searched the three occupants and found two unlicensed firearms.
The police also found a plasma screen television, a laptop, speaker and a bag containing smaller items.
When asked where they got the property from, one of the men allegedly confessed that they had robbed a house in Honeydew earlier that night.
The men will appear in court soon. - Sapa
