Tinyiko Malvin Maswanyani is over the moon after winning the Sowetan Win a New Life House.

The house is a joint promotion between Sowetan, Club Aranda, Elite Property Group and Mageu No 1. Maswanyani will also receive R50000 worth of furniture from Ellerines.

The second prize is 20 start-up businesses and blankets from club Aranda. The third prize is 15 Ellerines vouchers to the value of R10000.

Maswanyani, 28, said he could not wait to move out of his rented room in Boksburg to his soon-to-be built house in Evaton.

"I am so excited, I am overwhelmed. This is the first home I have ever owned. This is also the first time I have won a competition. I really do not know what to say."

Maswanyani said he has been on the telephone to his parents. He now plans to marry his sweetheart some time before Christmas.

"I have seen what the house will look like. Everyone is happy for me."
