Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Reneilwe Letsholonyane will be honoured by the organisers of the KwaMahlobo Festive Games for his participation in and contribution to the yearly tournament at Meadowlands Zone 10, Soweto today.

This was announced yesterday by Dlongolo Ntenjwa, tournament coordinator, who said the Meadowlands-based star had featured in the local off-season competition for the past eight years.

The 26-year-old Letsholonyane initially played for Meadowlands Porto and then represented PJ Stars until he was recruited by Jomo Cosmos boss Jomo Sono before joining Amakhosi last season.

Some of the tournament's products who were honoured in the past include Excellent Walaza of Orlando Pirates, erstwhile Pirates and Moroka Swallows midfielder Sibusiso Mazibuko and former Birds midfielder Samuel Ngobeni.

Also attending will be Zacharia "Computer" Lamola, the former Chiefs maestro who is also expected to deliver the keynote address.

He was grateful to the main sponsor Royal Bafokeng Holdings for their continuing support and Altech Autopage who donated 20 sets of soccer kits.

The round of 16will continue today while the quarterfinals will be played tomorrow. The semifinals and finals take place on Sunday, starting at 10am.
