After three days of trials in Cape Town, the Kalamazoo Foundation, named after Dr Steve "Kalamazoo" Mokone, has announced the names of "six winners" of study scholarships in the US.

Sipho Joyce, the national executive director of the foundation, released just two names, with the other four winners awaiting the release of their matric results.

Katlego Moleko of Johannesburg and Art Mogqabi from Stellenbosch will attend Siena College in New York from next year.

"The foundation still needs support for transportation of the students to the US and we will welcome any support in this regard," Joyce said. - Linda Moreotsene
