A couple has been charged with murder after a mob killed an alleged cellphone thief at the weekend.
Police said the couple was arrested on Sunday at an informal settlement near Springs and appeared in court yesterday.
The man had confronted the alleged thief and a fight broke out between them. Other members of the community were alerted to the fight and assaulted the alleged robber with sticks and stones until he died. - Sapa
