Some academics and intellectuals have tried to hoodwink us into believing that President Thabo Mbeki's efforts were fruitless. I vehemently disagree. Robert Mugabe might be clinging on to power, but if only Tsvangirai was ready to compromise for now, he would be able to amicably purge his nemesis Mugabe while sharing power at the helm.

Tsvangirai is giving the impression to the world, sponsored by the West, that Africans cannot resolve their own problems, which is not true. To save Zimbabweans from the economic and political crisis, Tsvangirai must learn to compromise.
