The five-nations netball tournament that was to take place from tomorrow until Sunday in Soweto has been postponed.

The tournament, organised and hosted by Gauteng Central was supposed to kick off tomorrow at the Orlando indoor centre, but it has now emerged that Gauteng Central received money from the provincial sport and recreation department, the tournament's sponsors, only yesterday, which was too late.

Teams from New Zealand, Jamaica, Botswana, Malawi and the senior and Under-21 national teams were supposed to take part in the three-day tournament.

A disappointed Dudu Msane, the U-21 coach who had already assembled 30 players in camp, said this has thrown her plans into chaos. - Linda Moreotsene
