Moroka police have arrested six men and recovered goods worth R30000 after a seven-hour operation in Soweto yesterday.

"On Friday and Saturday night criminals took advantage of the prevalent xenophobic attacks and went about chasing out foreigners and looting their places in Phiri, Mapetla, Senaoane and Tshiawelo," police spokesman Captain Mpande Khoza said.

The goods included TV sets, a laptop, cellphones, DVD players, CDs, DVDs, blankets and kitchen appliances. - Penwell Dlamini
