A 17-year-old would-be copper thief has been arrested for the third time in Cape Town, city authorities said yesterday.

A 17-year-old would-be copper thief has been arrested for the third time in Cape Town, city authorities said yesterday.

The youth and an accomplice were allegedly caught vandalising a city-owned electricity substation in Parow Industria.

Pieter van Dalen, chairman of copper theft task team, said the youth's misdeeds had cost the city R1,5million. - Sapa
