Azapo has lost one of its rising comrades, Chris Lucky Motlhamme, who was born in Moletsane in Soweto on September 13 1959.
He succumbed to diabetes at the Helen Joseph Hospital last Wednesday.
A dedicated member of the Black Consciousness Movement, he attended school in Moletsane with comrades Khotso Seatlholo and Jefferson Lengane, who led the 1976 student uprising.
Motlhamme will be buried on Saturday. The service will start at home at 7am and the cortege will leave for the Avalon cemetery at 10am.
lHabedi is Azapo Secretary General
