Fidentia boss J Arthur Brown appeared on Monday in the Cape Town regional court where his case was postponed to allow his defence team to submit a request for further particulars on the charge sheet.
The prosecution said it was ready for trial, and accused the defence of trying to delay the hearing.
Brown faces charges of fraud, theft and contravening the Companies Act.
Brown is out on R1million bail. - Sapa
