The team's sell-by date nickname has long passed. It was a cheer-up name, but had no meaning. It worked while we rode the crest of democratisation in the country.
Names like these are only suitable for domestic use, like the TV Channel, Mzansi 4 Sure.
Our national soccer team needs a powerful identity and vision-driven name. The name has to be sensible.
