In his yearly televised question-and- answer phone-in with the public yester day, President Vladimir Putin said: "We must reduce tolerance of corruption, from small bribes to big commercial corruption."

About 50percent of companies surveyed in central and eastern Europe reported economic fraud. - Reuters
