A person following the case of Robert McBride is very likely to be confused.

Firstly, the three Metro cops gave a sworn statement that McBride was sober when he had the accident. This was contrary to eyewitnesses at the scene. Now they say McBride was not sober. How can we be sure that they are telling the truth now? And if they are, why did they lie initially?

All the parties involved in the top cop's case need to give the public a thorough explanation because it is obvious that somebody is trying to defeat the ends of justice.
