DAR ES SALAAM - Mozambican President Armando Guebuza is in Tanzania for a three-day visit aimed at cementing ties between the two African neighbours, Mozambique's foreign ministry said yesterday.

Guebuza, who arrived late on Tuesday, opened the 31st Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair yesterday.

Ties between the two nations have been close since Tanzania offered shelter and training for Frelimo fighters during their struggle for independence from Portugal in the 1970s. - Sapa-AFP
