A Free State couple appeared in the Fouriesburg magistrates' court yesterday for allegedly kidnapping two Lesotho girls on their farm.
Police spokesman Sergeant Mmako Mophiring said the farmer and his wife are accused of kidnapping the girls, who were looking for wood on his farm in March.
Mophiring said the girls were found by a passing police border patrol minutes after they were chained to a tree.
The matter was postponed to August 2. - Sapa
