Riot Hlatshwayo

Heartless criminals in Mpumalanga have dealt a primary school a severe blow.

Police said thieves broke into the Funindlela Primary School's administration office in Matsulu, outside Nelspruit, and stole a computer, a portable CD and cassette radio player, a DVD player, a digital camera, cash, drums, a uniform and other articles.

Scholars and teachers returning to school after the recent holidays were shocked to make the discovery.

"We are asking anyone with information that might be able to help us with our investigations to contact their local police station," Matsulu police spokesman Inspector Moses Shirindza said yesterday.
