This is in response to Lebogang Lathane's letter of March 23. People who don't know the facts about Zimbabwe must stop saying hurtful things.
People are intimidated, harassed and tortured. Only 50percent of what is happening there gets into the media. And the elections were rigged.
The silence is not deafening. People don't listen or choose not to. When people speak out, they disappear. Their aim is to feed their families. They do care. They are not stupid. Put yourselves in their shoes and stop being arrogant. People are terrified of Mugabe and his aides.
