Former Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp has been appointed to coach German side Arminia Bielefeld in an attempt to save the club from relegation.
Middendorp, who has coached Ghana sides Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, has signed a contract until the end of the 2007-08 season.
"Mazinyo.Com" coached Bielefeld between April 1988 and September 1990 and for another four years from August 1994.
Middendorp's arrival means that Frank Geideck will become assistant coach once again. Coach Thomas von Heesen parted company with the side a month ago. - BBC
