A 42-year-old man was found dead in a burnt-out caravan at a fishing spot in Marlbank, Vanderbijlpark, yesterday.
ER24 spokesman Riana Beech said the man's body was found in the still-smouldering caravan at about 10am - the day of his 42nd birthday.
The cause of the fire was unknown.
It is suspected he had taken an overdose of painkillers.
"It is possible that this was a suicide ... but that is pure speculation at this stage," Beech said. Police are investigating. - Sapa
