About 1300 new jobs are expected to be created when the project goes into production at Rustenburg Platinum Mines' Amandelbult section in 2008.
One thousand jobs are also expected during the construction phase. Existing mining infrastructure, previously employed to extract Merensky reef, would be put to use, said spokesman Trevor Raymond. - Sapa
