The Durban University of Technology’s Department of Fashion and Textiles held its annual Fashion Show from 12-14 October at the Fred Crookes Sport Centre on the Steve Biko Campus in Durban. The coveted event showcased the designs of 40 third-year students, with the best 20 ranges featured on Friday, 14 October.
This year’s show themed Genomorph focuses on the genetic morphosis of the designer. Students were tasked to put together a cohesive collection of six fully accessorised garments that is reflective of their personal development, style and character. The 2011 show boasts an eclectic range from avant-garde to commercial clothing.
