PAY television station M-Net has announced its celebrity judges for the highly -anticipated Clash of the Choirs SA show on Mzansi Magic on Sunday.

These are Joyous Celebration co-founder Lindelani Mkhize, 5FM DJ Anele Mdoda and award-winning gospel singer Rebecca Malope.

They join celebrity host Bonang Matheba and selectors, who will be searching for the best regional candidates over the past few months.

These judges are musos Zakes Bantwini (Gauteng), Zwai Bala (Mpumalanga), 2012 Idols winner Khaya Mthethwa (KZN), Judith Sephuma (Limpopo), Thembi Seete (Free State), Sipho "Hotstix" Mabuse (North West) and Winnie Khumalo (Western Cape).

Besides keeping a watchful eye on every note sung, the judges will also be monitoring each choir's technical ensemble and creativity in executing each musical piece. In essence they will be looking for the most polished and nurtured voices.

"We are excited to have such great musicians on board as judges and choir masters. Clash of the Choirs SAwill definitely be different and highly entertaining, with each and every person bringing a unique element to the show," says Yolisa Phahle, Local Interest Channel Director.

The celebrity-headed choirs will compete against each other in a nine-week musical bonanza for viewers.

A total of R500000 is up for grabs, with R250000 for a charity of the winning choir's choice and R250000 for the choir.
