More than 2000 children from Rydalvale Primary School in Phoenix ,south of Durban, were treated to a constructive day of fun and celebration as part CCI-South Africa’s corporate social investment outreach program.

Rydalvale Primary School received a make-over and the work done on library which burnt about ten years ago finally completed.

The company’s top management, staff Ashton Hoorzuk- CEO; Maria Purcell- CPO and talented celebrities like Ntokozo Dlamini, Nay Mapps, Collen Zondo, Omuhle Gela and media representatives from Durban folded up their sleeves and dug in to show their commitment to making a difference in their society.

The group volunteered their services in painting and branding the school, fixing the library and donating books, tending to the vegetable garden whose produce is used for the school’s soup kitchen, and providing some entertainment for the kids.

“It is important to us that we touch the lives of our employees outside of work and the initiative in Rydalvale School today is just one way we make sure this happens," Hoorzuk, the MD of CCI-South Africa said.

The school Principal from Rydalvale Primary School, Mrs Saroj Cherry said they are grateful for the immense gesture. “I thank everyone who made this event possible and especially cheering up my children.”
