African TV Mentorship Program

Tele Dialogues, founded by actress Lungelo Dhladhla who is best known for her role in SABC 1’s uGugu noAndile and Intersexions, will in its second year running be accompanied by a brand new platform called African TV Mentorship Program.

The mentorship program intends to provide only 10 selected local film and television producers and scriptwriters with rigorous training.

Through various media, local television and film producers and scriptwriters will be notified of the African TV Mentorship Program by means of a “Call Out” that will request submissions of their past experience and the project concept they are currently developing.

The African TV Mentorship Program will be facilitated by television practitioners and experts in exportation of television content, digital content, creation of content and social media as a tool of content funding.

The 10 selected local film and television producers will be acknowledged on the last day of the Tele Dialogues – African Television Market at an African flavoured Gala Dinner.

The 2nd Tele Dialogues – African Television Market will be held from the 17th to the 20th July during the 36th Durban International Film Festival at Elangeni Hotel.
