Legendary blues singer B.B King has died

The LA Times has reported that the 15-time Grammy Award winner died in Las Vegas on Thursday, May 14.

According to several other sources, a statement provided by Bryson also confirmed that the singer peacefully in his sleep at his home, where he had been in hospice care.

The undisputed 'King of Blues' had struggled in recent years with diabetes and is understood to have been in declining health during the past year. In October last year, he reportedly collapsed during a concert in Chicago, later citing dehydration and exhaustion as the cause.

King, who had made more than 50 albums and sold millions throughout his career, continued to perform well into his 80s, despite health concerns and has become an inspiration for a generation of musicians, including greats such as Eric Clapton and Keith Richards.

It is understood that funeral arrangements are currently underway.
