Key Burkina players likely to cause havoc for Bafana

Burkina Faso have a balanced team and some players will be familiar to the locals.

Goalkeeper Daouda Diakite, who currently plays for DR Congo side AS Vita Club, has previously played for Free State Stars but was released last year after two years with the club. Striker Aristide Bance had a brief stint at Chippa United two seasons ago.

Bance is no longer guaranteed a starting spot, while Diakite usually warms the bench. We look at the Stallions' key men to watch other than those with South African links.

Bakary Kone (Malaga, Spain)

The Bafana strikers will face a calm character in him. Kone, 29, is good at reading the game and his presence will make their defence difficult to break down.

Charles Kabore (Krasnodar, Russia)

Being their most capped player with over 80 appearances, the 29-year-old brings a wealth of experience. Like Kone, Kabore does a good job at cleaning up in a defensive midfield role.

Prejuce Nakoulma (Nantes, France)

Nakoulma, 30, runs like a man possessed. He is not the sort of player you can afford to give acres of space. And whether he plays at right or left wing, he ensures the fullbacks sit back most of the time.

Bertrand Traore (Olympique Lyonnais, France)

On his day, Traore can produce some magic with unstoppable shots. The 22-year-old never stops trying.
